Do Women Really Need to Get A Job?

The name of RA Kartini are often listened by us as Indonesia’s women emancipation hero. Nowadays, we see there are almost nothing differences between women and men. Men are working, women are working. Men go to the office, and women do. The quantity of career women is increasing, but it makes some problems. This makes a pros and contra of career women. Do women really need to go to the office and get a job?

Many people agree with it. Women need a confession from people and their families to be aware of their existence. Women need to get a job to show that their capability in work is as good as men. As we all know, there are some success women around the world. Megawati Soekarno Putri, one of Former President of Indonesia is a woman. The United State’s Minister of Foreign, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is a woman. We can also mention Julia Gillard (Prime Minister of Australia), Khaleeda Zia (first woman President of Bangladesh), and Yingluck Shinawatra (Prime Minister of Thailand). They are women. Some women even get a job to help their families to fulfill their economics need. It may be their husband’s salary cannot do. So, women get a job to working.

In the other hand, some people don’t agree if women go to the office and get a job. Go to the office means that they’ll leave their home and also their children. They might too busy with their job until they forget their obligation as a wife and a mother. Have a job out of house can makes women have less time to see their children’s growth and spend much time with them. Furthermore, they think that women can work anywhere, included at home. There are some jobs which can be done at home. For example, they can be business women by selling their products by internet shop.

In conclusion, I think it’s possible to women to get a job and be career women as long as they have a capability to do that things and share their time to work and to be a wife and a mother to their children. And one thing for sure, they must be wise.
