"All iz Well, All iz Well..."

I’m a little bit late to watch one of Bollywood movie called 3 Idiots. It is starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi. Although everyone told that it’s one of the best Bollywood movies, or that it brings such an emotional feeling to the beholders; I wasn’t interested enough to watch. A friend of mine has also said to me about this film, and suggested me to (once again) watch. I didn’t mind to watch it, actually, but I just didn’t interested.

But then it changed when my friend brought a DVD of the movie and lended it to me. And one night I watched it by myself in my room, and I could say that: IT SUCH A BRILLIANT MOVIE.

I don’t feel silly to say that it’s brilliant, because I have some reasons for this. Firstly, 3 Idiots lets us to look at the different perspective about something before we conclude either accept it or decline it. Sometimes we feel that we live in an ordinary world with everything we have to do in our daily life. We don’t think that it’s true or false; but we just accept it as the only true things without look back if there’s a mistake in the system. For example, when Rancho (Aamir Khan) declined to do what his teacher commanded to him. He knew that there’s a problem in the system, but people knew it is true and not such a big deal to do that. But Rancho said to us implicitly that problem is problem, and it has to be solved. We can see it clearly when he tried to explain what the mechanic is, or when he was punished by his teacher and he taught a class not to fulfill what the teacher wanted but to showed him how to teach well. He showed us both there’s a problem in our system and how the system should be carried out. Watching how he showed the mistake to his teacher made me said, “How brilliant he is”.

Secondly, it brings us how to be brave of our dreams. In this case, there is one more problem: sometimes we don’t know that we walk not in our path but in our parents hope. When Rancho said to his roommates to reach their own dreams out, I think he indirectly told us, “Are you alive? If you are, then wake up! Your life is your own decision, not theirs!”.
We need to be bold standing in our own path. Life is choice, right? we’d chosed where we will go, then there will no regretful of our life in the future because we realize that it’s our decision. But this will be different if our future had been chosed by other people, for example parents. So, walking in our way isn’t should, but it’s a must.

In addition, we can see that there is a super power named love. Rancho loved to study, so he could become a brilliant student in his university. He didn’t mind doing Rancchodas’ homework because he just fell in love to study. There was a suggestion in himself to study, and it made him very thirsty of knowledges. Up till now we always sit down and listen to what teachers say, and then study hard to get a good score at the exam. We are not aware that we do it like we only focus on getting score, not to be cleverer on certain subjects.

But, the important value of the movie is how it decribes about the importance of having best friends. Rancho proved that he could become both a valuable friend and a motivator for his friends. He shared his thoughts and it affected to his friends.

Once again, I need to say that the movie is so brilliant and very simple. The story goes with the flow, without any unnecessary conflict in it. The central character in this movie, Rancho (or at the end of the movie said that his true name was Phunsukh Wangdu), was very brilliant to be hero in this movie, especially the way he conclude the problem with say to himself such a magic words, “All iz well, all iz well (All is well)”.
